I wonder if you feel the same way: large models are updating too quickly now. Today OpenAI releases a new version, tomorrow Google follows up, and the day after that an open-source model appears from China or Europe. For people making technical decisions, this is almost a disaster.

You just connected your business to one model, and two days later you discover another model that is half the price and works better. Do you switch? If you do, the code has to change and the process has to be tested. If you do not, the cost is sitting right there.

So the role of the intermediary becomes especially important. In essence, it is about building a unified interface that connects all the mainstream models on the market. You only need to integrate with this one endpoint, and changing the model behind the scenes becomes as easy as changing a light bulb.

The logic behind this is changing. In the past, everyone cared a lot about model names because a new model roughly meant a better model. But in the future, models will become a kind of content, a kind of consumable. Different tasks, such as coding, copywriting, logical reasoning, or even calendar management, may be served by completely different specialized models. The future enterprise IT architecture will probably be dynamic: simple tasks go to cheap small models, while complex tasks call expensive models. This is not only a technical issue, but a very real cost-control issue.
