How to get more value from existing users

Acquiring new users is hard, and churn can never be completely avoided. If you want to fill that gap, you can only rely on the existing customers who stay and help them create more spending. It is like a pool with water entering on one side and leaking on the other. The only solution is to make the water already in the pool grow by itself.

This returns to the familiar question: are you creating value for customers beyond their expectations? Technical people often like to stare at a pile of cold metrics in the backend, such as daily active users, monthly active users, and click-through rates, and assume that good-looking metrics mean good customer experience. That is far too simplistic.

What customers truly care about is whether you can solve their business pain points. If you cannot find direct financial data to measure this, at least look for proxy metrics that reflect real intent. Talk more with real people and see what role your technology actually plays in their workflow. Only when they sincerely feel your service is becoming indispensable will they willingly pay for the new features you launch.
