Mass emails, AI SDRs, automated DMs, and the same “Hi, I noticed your company” for everyone.
This is not growth. It is a street flyer in the digital age. The only difference is that humans used to disturb you, and now machines disturb you at lower cost.
The real sales revolution in the AI era is not to make robots impersonate salespeople. It is to make sales feel human again.
In the interview, Carles directly rejects the AI SDR obsession many startups believe in. Those tools treat every prospect as “someone who should be contacted.”
But real distribution is not a transaction. It is understanding. Does this person prefer email or events? Should you call, or meet first? Do they care about efficiency or brand safety?
If AI only knows how to “send more,” then it is just a turbocharger for spam.

Another old idea should also go into the trash: attack markets one by one, go deep in Country A, then copy to Country B. That worked in a slower era. In the AI era, it is like chasing a high-speed train on a bicycle.

AI will reward only three types of people: those who understand customers, those who dare to experiment, and those who can run complex systems.
If a salesperson’s remaining value is mass sending, follow-ups, form filling, and repeating product copy, then that person should already have been replaced.
